Lots of events on the rest of September's calendar - all the the public library
Several events take place during the second half of September at the Bluffton Public Library. Here's the calendar of events:
Thursday, Sept 18, is Read an eBook Day. Use the hashtag #eBookday for a chance at a prize from Overdrive, the eBook app for libraries.
Saturday, Sept. 20, anda again on Saturday, Sept. 27, look for the Bluffton Public Library at the Bluffton Farmer’s Market. There will be more Geek the Library items and geek boards to sign, as well as information about the library and the opportunity to sign up for a library card.
On Monday, Sept. 22, the Gluten-Free/Allergy Support Group meets on the lower level of the library at 6 p.m.
Banned Book Week starts Sept. 23-26. The library geeks banned books and encourages patrons to stop by to read a book that is or once was banned somewhere in the world.
On Wednesday, Sept. 24, Browsing Ink returns at 3:30 p.m. Join the library staff to explore book 1, ‘Cinder’ from the popular series ‘The Lunar Chronicles’ by Marissa Meyer. Come relax after school, listen to the next installment of the story. This program is for 6-9th grade.
The Bluffton Public Library is now a SAFE Toolkit site. SAFE (Senior Advocate Fraud Education) is a program developed by Ohio's Attorney General to help seniors avoid fraud and scams.
You can learn more about how to protect yourself or your loved ones by stopping by the library, but the library asks that you keep this reference book in the library building to ensure its availability for others. You can also download this kit online on the Ohio Attorney General's website.
The library also encourages patrons to stop by to view September’s display case, which will exhibit items from Bluffton University’s Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center.
