Farmers' market vendor's meeting April 14 in town hall; opening date May 2
Potential vendors for this year’s Bluffton farmers’ market are invited to a vendor information meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, at 154 N. Main St. (Bluffton town hall third floor).
This year the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce oversees the market. Greg Probst is the market manager. A chamber farmers’ market subcommittee includes:
• Larry Hoffman, First National Bank, chamber board president
• Phil Zimmerly, Common Grounds coffee shop
• Peter Suter, Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Co., and Shannon Theatre
A representative from the Allen County Health Department will attend the meeting and will cover some market rules and regulations.
After 11 seasons, the weekly vendors’ fee will move to $10. This will enable the chamber to advertise the market to bring more shoppers to downtown Bluffton on Saturdays.
The market is again in the Citizens National Bank parking lot. The market director’s spot will also serve as a location to promote Bluffton downtown businesses.
There will be several additional new features. Those will be shared on April 14. This year’s market will open on Saturday, May 2.
Persons with questions may contact Probst at: [email protected].
The market also has a new Facebook site (Bluffton Farmers Market – not to be confused with the Bluffton, South Carolina, farmer’s market)
