Dorothy Town, 1932-2015
Dorothy Faye Town, 83 died May 22, 2015 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Dorothy was born January 16, 1932 in Tippecanoe, Ind. to the late Charles and Donnis (Smith) Fisher. On October 18, 1951 she married Robert Town and he survives.
Dorothy was an amazing homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing, her flowers and was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School in Indiana.
Survivors also include three daughters Laura M. (Patrick James) Lenhard of Honor, MI, Rhonda L. (Chris) Wenger of Bluffton, Robin J. (Paul) Miller of Bluffton; two grandsons David Miller and Benjamin Wenger; two granddaughters Jessica (Lane) Oberly and Emily Wenger; two great-grandsons Tradd Miller and Grayson Oberly; a sister Lena Coplen of Bourbon, IN; and a daughter-in-law Donna Town of Elburn, IL.
Dorothy was preceded in death by a son David R. Town; a grandson Joshua Chidester; and a sister Marge Buswell.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Kim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. A fellowship meal will follow the graveside service at First United Methodist Church, Bluffton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
