Light Up the Dark 5K Saturday night in Pandora
Plans are underway for a 5K Glow Run at Pandora Missionary Church on Saturday, July 25, at 9:40 p.m. The theme of this year’s race is, “Light Up the Dark,” and will feature various glow aspects along the course, including luminaries, glow attire, and illuminated Bible verses.
“This event is truly unique. It is intended to be fun while at the same time serving a purpose—bringing God’s light and love to our community and those around us,” explains Dan Gratz, coordinator of the event.
Proceeds raised from this event will be donated to two local charities – Pandora/Bluffton area Youth for Christ and Guiding Light Teen Maternity Home in Lima.
“We live in a very caring community and we are always looking for ways to reach out and serve others. Both of these organizations have a direct impact in the lives of area youth and we are excited to have the opportunity to support them in their ministry,” he said.
This is considered a “fun run”—so the race will not be timed and all ages are welcome to participate. However, it should be noted that wheeled “vehicles” are not permitted on the course.
This includes, but is not limited to: strollers, wheelchairs, skates/skateboards, scooters, etc. Participants will be eligible for door prizes that will be awarded prior to and after the race.
The race is sponsored by Sprunger Insurance Agency, Clubhouse Pizza, Riley Creek Pharmacy, and The Pizzeria.
