NW Ohio weather alert
AEP has issued a weather alert for northwestern Ohio this afternoon. A line of severe thunderstorms will likely move across Indiana and Ohio this evening and tonight. As it moves to the east, the leading edge of the complex will develop into a line of severe thunderstorms with wind gusts to 60 m.p.h., hail, heavy rain and a chance for a tornado. The line of severe thunderstorms will impact western Ohio by mid-evening and central Ohio to include Columbus by late evening. The highest threat area appears to be central Indiana through central Ohio. However, the exact evolution and movement of line of severe thunderstorms is very difficult to forecast, according to AEP.
