Look what's on Bluffton Senior Citizens' October-November calendar
Preparations are underway for the Bluffton Senior Citizens Association 45th anniversary celebration planned for Thursday, Nov. 5. In the meantime, lots of other activities take place at the center during October and November.
Here’s a sampling:
• Doris Conrad, lifelong Bluffton resident, will be recognized during its October dinner meeting. Conrad turns 90 this month and will receive a life membership in the association. The dinner meeting is at 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 12, at the center, 132 N. Main St.
• A pain clinic takes place at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13. Dr. Sumon Nandi, M.D., will discuss the latest treatment options, the causes of joint pain, what joint replacement surgery involves and the realistic expectations after joint replacement. The program is free and open to the public.
• The peanut brittle crew goes into action starting Monday, Nov. 2. Bluffton’s famous holiday treat will be available through the holidays.
• The center’s Christmas garage sale is held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13-14.
• The next community meal is at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15. Ebenezer Mennonite Church will host the meal.
Additional items on the center’s calendar can be found in the October newsletter, which is an attachment at the bottom of this story.
