Tuesday teas on Bluffton library's January schedule

Warm up with a cup of hot tea on any Tuesday in January at Bluffton Public Library during regular morning hours.  During these Hot Tea Tuesdays, free hot tea and other light refreshments will be available for browsing patrons from 10am-2pm.    
Also on Tuesdays, area teens and tweens (6th grade and up) are invited to Chill Zone.  Come participate in crafts, play games, snack, and talk every Tuesday in January at 3:30pm.
Need help with the new tablet or laptop you received for Christmas?  Not sure how to check out free eBooks through our library?  Register for a  Tutor Me Paperless session by calling 419-358-5016, emailing [email protected], or by submitting an online contact form on our website. These tutoring sessions continue on Wednesdays in January, by appointment only.
BPL’s new Sci-Fi/Fantasy Writer's Group will meet Jan. 7 at 6pm.  If you are working on writing in this genre, or are seriously interested in doing so, you are invited to join this group!  Registration is required and space is limited.  Email [email protected] to register or for more information.
Tot Bop, an exercise a dance group for children 1-3 years, continues Jan. 8 and 22 at 10am.  Registration is required for this program and spots are full.  Interested parents may add their name to a waiting list.
Registration for a new season of Storytime begins Dec. 21.  Please note that registration is required and spaces are limited.  Sessions are on Mondays, Jan. 11 and 25th at 6:30pm; or on Tuesdays, Jan. 12, 19, and 26 at 10am.
On Thursday, Jan. 14 starting at 5:30pm Janette Reineke will have a Book Signing for her new book  Fear No Art! You Can Do It!  Books will be on sale for $24.99 (cash or check).  You may also sign up for her art workshop in February.
Need to get out of the house for a free, stress-relieving activity?  BPL will host Adult Coloring and Hot Drinks on Jan. 15 from 10am to 12pm.  Materials are provided for use at the library.  Invite a friend!
Join licensed therapy dog, Teddy, for Paws 2 Read on Jan. 16 and 30 at 10am.  Teddy loves hearing stories or just getting a friendly cuddle.  This program supports literacy, the humane treatment of animals, and healthy stress relief practices.
Come learn about Japanese culture during an interactive presentation at Bluffton Public Library!  Ayane Hida, the Japanese Outreach Coordinator at the University of Findlay will join us on Jan. 21 at 6:30pm for Let’s Learn About Japanese Culture.  Activities may include the basics of language and a calligraphy lesson, and all ages are welcome!  Please register to ensure the availability of supplies.
BPL will deliver a “How to Use the New Library Website” Presentation Thursday, Jan. 28 at 6:30pm.  Join us on our main floor for this informative session.  Bring your laptop, smart phone, and/or tablet (or use one of our reserved computers) as staff members walk through new website features, and reveal some features you may not know about!  There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.  Registration is preferred to ensure enough space for participants.  Call 419-358-5016, email [email protected], or ask at our front desk to register.
Dulcimers @ the Library continues Tuesdays at 1:30pm.  Jammin' @ the Library also continues every other Monday (Jan. 11 and 25) at 6pm.  All are welcome.
Yoga Fit(c) by BFR continues to utilize the library lower level on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.  To register and pay the membership fee, contact Bluffton Family Recreation.

BPL’s Community Display Case will feature a “Winter Sowing” display provided by the Gardeners of the Bluffton/Pandora Area.  Bluffton Public Library will also display English as a Second Language (ESL) books available for checkout with your library card.  Other information and resources will be available mid-January at an ESL Education Station.  Stay tuned for more information about this future service.
