Anna Mary Naas 1916-2010
Former Bluffton resident Anna Mary Naas, died on Thursday, July 1, 2010 in Olympia, Wash.^A Anna Mary was born April 17, 1916, in Cridersville, Ohio to Harry and Luella Rehm Burgess.^A She was a member of the first families of Allen County.^A Anna Mary married Wilson Naas Feb. 8, 1941, and he died in November 1984.
Wilson and Anna Mary made their home in Bluffton, Ohio, where Anna Mary worked as assistant registrar at Bluffton College. After Wilson died, Anna Mary moved to the Washington to be near her only daughter Elaine and her family.^A Anna Mary was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Anna Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Howard (Katheryn) Burgess and her son-in-law Michael Emans. She is survived by her brother Robert (Ruth) Burgess, Cridersville, Ohio, daughter, Elaine Emans; grandchildren, Eric (Heather) Emans and Todd Emans; and her great granddaughters, Gracie and Annie Emans, all of Washington state.
Private services will be held in Ohio at a later date.^A In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 L.B.J. Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244, to aid in the fight to eradicate breast cancer.
