University cooking series accepting people hungry to learn about nutrition
Bluffton University’s junior nutrition students will host its 2016 Cooking Series from Feb. 22 to April 18 in the first floor of Berky Hall. Lunch and dinner options are available. The event is free and open to the public.
Each session includes a 20-30 minute cooking demonstration, nutritional information and a full meal. Lunches will be held from noon-1 p.m. on Mondays, starting on Monday, Feb. 22. This meal will consist of foods that conquer winter depression. Monday lunches will be held on Feb. 29, March 14 and 21 and April 4, 11 and 18.
Dinner meals will be one-hour long, beginning at 5 p.m. The first session will be on Thursday, Feb. 25, concerning the nutritional power of kale. Additional sessions will be held on March 3, 17, 24 and 31 and April 7 and 14.
