Seven soups in this year's Maple Crest soup cook off
It's soup cook-off time.
Maple Crest Senior Living Village hosts a soup cook-off in its Patio Room on Thursday, Feb. 25, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the public is invited.
The cook-off is in the Patio Room in the lower level of Maple Crest's main building Persons may sample gourmet soups prepared by different local restaurants and caterers. Enjoy such soups as:
• Luke's Bar & Grill (Bluffton) – Ham & Potato Corn Chowder
• Lu Lu’s Diner (Bluffton) – Stuffed Green Pepper Soup
• Common Grounds (Bluffton) – Lasagna Soup
• Larson’s BBQ (Bluffton) – Fire Roasted Tomato Soup
• Jeanne’s Kitchen (Bluffton)– Cream of Asparagus Soup
• Henry’s (Ottawa) – Baked Potato Soup
• Cedar Valley Café (Findlay) – Chicken Noodle Soup
The meal includes soups, salad, breadsticks, beverage and dessert. The cost is $7 per person or $5 with a donation of a canned good or box of cold cereal. Children 5 and under will be $3.
All donated items go to the Bluffton Community Assistance Program. Please check expiration dates to make sure they are current.
