Cheryl Freed was a 1982 Cory-Rawson HS graduate
Cheryl Sue Freed, 51, of rural Jenera died at 3:38 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at the James Cancer Center in Columbus following three-year battle with sarcoma cancer.
She was born May 10, 1964, to Dwight and Norma J. (Weihrauch) Rader, they survive in rural Bluffton. On Oct. 19, 1991, she married Scott A. Freed and he survives. Also surviving are their three sons, Corey A.; Jordan A. and Matthew S., all of rural Jenera; brothers, Jeff (Julie) Rader of Westerville; Keith Rader of Middletown and sister, Annette (Nick) Stuckey of Rawson.
She was a 1982 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School and a 1984 graduate of Lima Technical College. She previously worked for Citizens National Bank in Bluffton and taught piano, trumpet and guitar for many years. She was an active member at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was heavily involved in the music program.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Alois Schmitzer III officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 3, Friday, March 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Crates Funeral Home, Arlington ,and for one hour prior to the service (1-2 p.m.) Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be given in her memory to Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran School or Cancer Patient Services. Online condolences may be
