Bluffton police provided the may police docket to the Icon. The police reported 413 calls for service during May.
May 1
-Police arrested Chase Oler, 22, Findlay for OVI following a traffic stop on Jefferson St. for an equipment violation.
-Officers responded to a criminal damaging complaint at the university.
-A Jefferson St resident reported his wallet was stolen while at a local park.
-Police arrested Taylor Richardson, 27, Bluffton, on an outstanding warrant from Hancock County.
-A university student reported unknown persons causing damage to his vehicle while parked at the university.
May 3
-An E. Elm St. resident filed a report of a domestic disturbance that had happened earlier in the day.
May 4
-A university student reported his wallet stolen while he was at the university.
May 5
-Officers responded to a Commerce Ln business in response to a sick raccoon. Officers dispatched the animal due to its health condition.
-Officers responded to an E Elm St residence in response to a domestic dispute.
May 6
-Officers responded to a Snider Road business in response to a trespassing/stalking complaint.
May 7
-Police responded to a civil/domestic dispute at a Riley St. residence.
-Officers responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the 100 block of Polo Dr. Sarah Diller, 27, Chicago, was issued a citation for Improper Starting and Backing.
May 10
-Officers responded to a Commerce Lane business in response to a report that an abducted child may be there. After further investigation it was determined that the child was with his custodial parent and all was okay.
-A Jefferson St. resident filed an unruly juvenile report.
May 12
-Officers responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of State Route 103 and Commerce Lane. Austin Young, 18, Findlay, was issued a citation for Assured Clear Distance Ahead.
May 13
-Police arrested Maurice Sims, 37, Lima, for DUS following a traffic stop on State Route 103 for a registration violation.
-Officers responded to a possible Burglary at a N. Dixie Hwy residence. Upon arrival it was determined that it was a family member who had entered the residence.
May 15
A Jackson St. resident reported his son failed to return his car to the residence.
May 18
-A Lawn Ave. resident filed a criminal damaging complaint.
May 20
-Officers arrested Nancy Hopson, 56, of Arcadia, Florida, for OVI following a traffic stop on N. Main St. for a marked lanes violation.
May 21
-Police arrested Sarah Olesky, 27, Findlay for DUS following a traffic stop on State Route 103 for a registration violation.
-A Greding St. resident reported unknown persons entering their storage unit on State Route 103 without permission.
-Police arrested Cole Moore, 20, Elida, for DUS following a traffic stop on Washington St. for a stop sign violation.
May 24
-Police responded to an injury traffic crash near the intersection of S. Main and Garau streets. Melissa Swaim, 37, Lima, was issued a citation for a Reasonable Control violation.
May 27
-Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the 400 block of Riley St. Upon investigation it was determined that a garbage truck snagged a low-hanging telephone wire causing it to pull the power pole onto the roadway.
May 29
-A Cherry St. resident reported seeing someone crawl through the window of a neighbor’s house to gain entry.
-A Rockport Road resident reported a cell phone stolen.
