United Way 50/50 winner donates winnings back to UW
Did you wonder who won the United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam and Richland Township's summer 50/50 raffle?
The short version is Richard Bucher. The longer version is the United Way.
The winner of $302 is Richard Bucher of Bluffton. He has donated his winnings back to the United Way, according to Neil Reichenbach, treasurer.
Reichenbach said, "The United Way of Bluffton, Beaverdam, and Richland Township receives designations from The United Way of Greater Lima.
"This year we received more designations than what we should have, and that was going to cause us to be short of our goal. However, due to Richard's generous contribution and that of an anonymous donor, we have actually exceeded our goal of $25,500."
Reichenbach listed the local United Way recipients:
Bluffton Family Recreation
Bluffton Community Preschool
American Red Cross
Bluffton Senior Citizens Center
Girl Scouts of Western Ohio
Bluffton Child Development Center
Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary
Bluffton Weekday Christian Ed
Boy Scouts of America
Bluffton Community Emergency Corporation
