Yarn Group, Si-Fi Writers meet Sept. 1 at the library
Don't say there's not anything to do in Bluffton this fall.
Two organizational meetings are set for Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Bluffton Public Library for persons interested knitting and in science fiction/fantasy writing.
The Golden Fleece Yarn Group
Persons interested in knitting are invited to the first meeting following a summer break. The meeting is at 6 p.m.
According to the organizers: “It’s a place where needle crafts of all techniques and levels can gather to learn new techniques, share wisdom and be supportive of one another.
This group hopes to eventually promote community involvement and to do projects for charity. Contact goldenfleecebluffton@gmail.com for more information.
It is open to persons of all ages.
Si-Fi/Fantasy Writer’s Group
This group will also meet at 6 p.m. According to its organizers the group invites persons working on writing in this genre or who are seriously interested in doing so.
Advanced registration is required since space is limited. Assignments will be given at each meeting. It is open to adults.
