Pay library fines with canned good donations to the food pantry
Got library fines?
During the week of Dec. 5, Bluffton Public Library offers Food for Fines. This is an opportunity for patrons to have some fines waived while helping the community at the same time.
For each canned good donated during the week, $1 is forgiven from a patron's fines.
Check the flyer and the Food Pantry wishlist for requested items and restrictions. The library is unable to accept items that are expired or damaged.
Also, at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Dulcimer Gatherin’ & Rainbow Dulcimers will perform music for patrons. This is the first of four Monday concerts in December. The family-friendly programs held on the main floor of the library includ free refreshments courtesy of the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library.
Also on Monday at 6:30 p.m. is Shine Storytime. It is also repeated on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. Families are welcome to join the library staff for holiday stories and crafts. No prior registration is necessary and the program meets in the Youth Services /Storytime Room.
This event replaces our Santa Paws Storytime event, which was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
