Two overnight closures of I-75 at Bentley Road
A project to replace the bridge deck on the Bentley Road bridge over I-75, Bluffton, will require two overnight closures of I-75 this week.
I-75 northbound under the Bentley Road overpass will close overnight Thursday, June 15, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. for the removal of the bridge deck and parapet walls over northbound travel lanes.
Through traffic will be maintained utilizing the I-75 exit and entrance ramps at Bentley Road (exit 140). Northbound motorists must exit I-75 at Bentley Road, then re-enter I-75 from Bentley Road. Left turns onto Bentley Road from I-75 northbound will still be prohibited due to construction.
I-75 southbound under the Bentley Road overpass will close overnight Friday, June 16, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. for the removal of the bridge deck and parapet walls over southbound travel lanes.
When the main travel lanes close, the southbound exit and entrance ramps at Bentley Road (exit 140) will be opened to carry through traffic. Southbound motorists must exit I-75 at Bentley Road, then re-enter I-75 from Bentley Road.
Left and right turns onto Bentley Road from I-75 southbound will still be prohibited due to construction. When the main travel lanes are reopened, the southbound exit and entrance ramps at Bentley Road will close again.
