Icon introduces several new features
Bluffton Icon announces several enhancements to its website this week. These include:
¨• Viewers now have the option to sign-up to receive daily e-mails of all stories posted the Icon. All stories arrive automatically in one e-mail each morning. This option works through MailChimp. It is a free service and viewers may opt out of it at any time if they choose. Simply send your e-mail address to: info@blufftonicon.com and request to be added to the Bluffton Icon’s daily e-mail news story list.
• More stories are now posted on the home page. These include:
• The most recent Bluffton HS sports stories, posted below the Smith Realty Professionals ad
• Yesterday’s top story posted, on the right column
• The three most recently written stories, posted on the right column
• Display ads are now located on the bottom half of more than 20 inside pages
• Classified ads are now wider and easier to read
• Business card ads on the classified page are wider and easier to read
• Several new advertising locations are now available on the Icon. Potential advertisers should contact the Icon for information and pricing.
• YouTube videos are now on the top of the Photo Gallery Page
• An Icon “Book Store” is now listed on the home page scroll bar. It enables viewers to order copies of “The Bluffton We Never Knew.”
• Other Icon products will be introduced in 2018 – watch for details
• The Smith Professional Realty ad has links to each of its property listings. Viewers simply click on the Smith ad to open links for individual viewing
• This “link” option is now available for other advertisers
Additional new features are in the works and will be revealed in the next few weeks.
These new features join several features added earlier this fall to the Icon. Those include the addition of BlufftonPirates.com, which features all Bluffton High School sports stories.
In also includes an enhanced Advertiser Index, which now includes links to all Icon advertisers’ web pages and Facebooks, in addition to advertisers’ phone numbers.
