I'll take mine with pepperoni
Wish we could all sign up for Day Camp at Bluffton Family Recreation this week.
The campers took a trip to Luke's and created their own six-inch pizza snacks.
Kaycee Rowe, a 2018 Bluffton University graduate, is the lead counselor for BFR summer camp. Each week is a new theme.
The camp is open to 5- to 12-year-olds. It's held Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students can sign-up for one week or all weeks.
Campers in Jamie Nygaard's photos are:
• from Left to right (Abbi Risner, Austin and Braylin Scherger, Lily and Brody Schneck, Ryan Shough, and Justin Clark (Luke's Kitchen Manager).
Background: Matt Wannemacher, Bennot Kimmell, Jordan Risner and Lyla Schneck.
• Brody Schneck (son of Mandy and Barry Schneck) smiles while making his pizza.
• Peyton Risner shows off her personal pizza.
Here's the remaining camp theme:
Wacky Water Week (July 30th-Aug 3rd)
Come enjoy everything that is water. Campers will make their own slip and slide, water bed and participate in water games. Arts and crafts on the week will consist of erupting ice chalk paint, water filled piñatas.
Lights/Camera/Action: (Aug 6th-Aug 10th)
Experience all of Hollywood. Campers will write direct and star in their own movie, play games such as paparazzi. Enjoy being a movie star as campers conduct a red carpet award show for their fellow peers.
Wild Wild West: (Aug 13th-Aug 17th)
Strap on your boots, we’re going out west. Campers will get the full cowboy/cowgirl experience through activities such as hoe down dancing, arts and crafts and wrangler games.
Warlocks and Wizards: (Aug 20th-Aug 24th)
Transform yourself this summer through the magical world of Warlocks and wizards. Campers will make wands, play fantasy games, and create potions and spells. Come join us as we explore all that is magical.
Cost for one week of camp is $60 for BFR members and $120 for non-members. Contact BFR to register at 419-358-4150.
