First National Bank receives Outstanding Community Partner Award
First National Bank of Pandora is the 2010 recipient of the WWR Outstanding Community Partner Award. The award was announced recently at the the Community Bankers Association of Ohio (CBAO) annual convention and trade show.
According to Todd Mason, bank president, "First National Bank's vision supports the initial principals of the bank's founders: 'continuously strive to encourage creative thinking and empower team members to provide solutions to the communities we serve.' "
First National's contributions to the communities it serves includes corporate donations to more than 26 different area organizations, volunteering for over 19 community events, supporting a presence in area schools through financial education, and actively participating in approximately 30 community organizations.
Sponsored by Weltman, Weinberg, & Reis Co, LPA (WWR) in partnership with CBAO, the WWR Outstanding Community Partner Award was created to honor those community banks in Ohio that actively partner with their local communities to provide educational, community outreach and/or community service programs, and celebrates those that are investing time and resources into their communities and inspiring others through their work.
Nominations were to demonstrate social vision and clearly communicate how employee volunteerism is the key to their community involvement.
The First National Bank of Pandora was founded in 1919. The bank of has assets in excess of $115,000,000 and operates three full-service branches in Pandora, Bluffton and Findlay, serving these towns and adjacent communities.
Community Bankers Association of Ohio (CBAO) is Ohio's oldest statewide financial trade association representing independent community bank and thrift institutions.
