Bluffton police, Hancock Sheriff, respond to suicide threat on SR 103

May 1
Officers arrested a Toledo resident for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the 800 block of County Line Road. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
May 2
Officers responded to Greding Street in reference to a mental person complaint.
May 4
Officers arrested a Pandora resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop for a registration violation in the 600 block of South Main Street. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
Officers responded to a North Main Street business in reference to a verbal fight between a male and a female.
Officers arrested a Lima resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the area of Harmon Road and College Avenue. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
May 14
Officers took a theft report from a Kenton resident who stated his vehicle was broken into while it was parked at his place of employment in Bluffton.
May 16
Officers received a complaint of a missing person from a Riley Street resident. After following up on the complaint and locating the missing person, the case was transferred to the Ada Police Department.
Officers arrested a Findlay resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of Main Street and Washington Street for a speeding violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
May 17
Officers received a civil child custody complaint from an Ottawa resident.
May 18
Officers arrested a Lima resident for driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the Interstate 75 and Bentley Road for a stop sign violation. The case is pending in Lima Municipal Court.
Officers arrested a Bluffton resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and Pocono Drive. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
May 21
Officers responded to a South Main Street business in reference to an armed robbery. The investigation is still ongoing.
May 22
Officers arrested a Bluffton resident for OVI and Open Container following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and Interstate 75 for a marked lanes violation. The cases are pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
May 24
The Ohio State Highway Patrol requested a canine sniff from K9 Kato around a vehicle they had lawfully stopped on a traffic stop on U.S. Route 30.
Bluffton officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of South Main Street at Garau Street. Investigating officers requested a canine sniff around the vehicle. After a positive alert, investigating officers searched the vehicle and located a small amount of suspected marijuana in the vehicle along with alcoholic beverages belonging to a young female who was under the age of 21.
May 25
Officers arrested a Miamisburg resident for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of Interstate 75 and State Route 103 for a registration violation. The case is pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
May 30
Allen County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an armed robbery at a business on Bluelick Road. ACSO deputies requested K9 Kato’s assistance in tracking the suspects whereabouts after the crime. Once on scene, K9 Kato performed a track and located physical evidence along the way that was stolen from the armed robbery. The suspects were no longer in the area. ACSO detectives collected the evidence and K9 Kato and his handler returned back to the village.
May 31
Officers, along with Hancock County Sheriff’s deputies, responded to a State Route 103 business in reference to a suicidal female who had taken pills and was potentially armed. After a two-hour standoff, the female subject came out and was taken to Blanchard Valley Health Systems in Findlay for a mental evaluation. No weapon was located in the room.
