SumiRiko Ohio making a difference
Associates from SRK Ohio have joined more than 25,000 volunteers across North America participating in Honda’s fourth annual Team Honda Week of Service, in which Honda associates, dealers and suppliers conduct volunteer service activities in their communities.
On June 7 and again on June 14 SRK Ohio associates volunteer throughout the Village of Bluffton for community clean up activities, sandbag preparation and mulching.
At SRK Ohio’s manufacturing facility two food drives are underway to support the Bluffton food pantry and Northwest Ohio Food Bank.
“Through this coordinated week of volunteer projects across North America, we are joining Honda in reinforcing the Team Honda spirit of working together to make a difference in the communities where we live and work,” Laura Jones, Human Resource Director for SRK Ohio.
“SRK and its associates are happy to partner with the Village of Bluffton and local food banks to make a positive impact in the community we call home.”
As Honda celebrates its 60th anniversary, the Week of Service is timed to coincide with the establishment of the first Honda business operation in North America on June 11, 1959.
