Bluffton PD investigating business break-ins
Ryan Burkholder, Bluffton police chief, provided the Icon with a letter concerning break-ins of several Bluffton businesses that occurred on July 25.
His letter follows:
On July 25, 2019, several businesses were broken into. We are currently investigating several leads. Details associated with this ongoing investigation cannot be released at this time, however. I assure you that when details can be released, they will be.
Some general recommendations to be made to the business owners at this time include the following:
• Adequate lighting inside and outside of your business
• Quality security camera systems on the outside and inside of your business
• Double-checking all your doors and windows
What the officers are doing to assist in preventing a possible incident:
• Foot Patrols
• Door Checks
• Random vehicle patrols
