Volunteer drivers needed for Our Daily Bread Mobile Meals
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio is exploring renewing its previously suspended Our Daily Bread Mobile Meals Program, according to Chris Moser, director of resource development and church relations.
The popular program was suspended with the arrival of covid-19 in Ohio.
Moser said that it is hoped the program can restart, which is available from Mennonite Memorial Home of Bluffton and Hilty Home of Pandora.
“But, prior to making an announcement on its continuation,” he said, “we are making an appeal for needed volunteer drivers."
Volunteer drivers are responsible for:
• Collecting the cooler bag at 11:30 a.m. at Mennonite Memorial Home, or 11:15 a.m. at Hilty Home.
• Delivering the meal to subscriber’s home.
• Wear a mask and use hand sanitizer before delivery of each meal.
Volunteers interested in helping with this program should contact Moser with day or days available by Tuesday, Aug. 25, at [email protected] or 419-358-1015 ext. 263.
