Bluffton week at BFR adventure camp starts Monday
Bluffton Family Recreation summer camp is underway and there's still room for additional campers for next week’s camp, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.
Register for next week’s camp by calling BFR at 419-358-4150.
"BFR summer camp is a full day experience, designed with a wide range of activities guaranteed to expand your child’s horizons. It is open to youth ages 5 to 12," said Tinch.
He continued: "Kids have fun while making new friends, developing new skills, learning core values, building self-confidence and growing in self-reliance.
"Campers experience a variety of indoor and outdoor activities based around weekly themes.
"In addition, campers stay active in education through our daily active readers club built into each day."
Campers have the option of registering for individual weeks.
Camp hours:
7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Pre-camp
9:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. – Kid’s camp
3:30-5:30 p.m. – Post-camp
Lunch:
Bluffton Hospital will provide lunch for all campers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Next week’s camp:
June 28 - July 2: Bluffton week, devoted to exploring Bluffton's history and businesses in town. Campers will go on field trips to locations including the fire station and town hall. Several guest spakers from the community will talk with youth.

Pre-school camp (ages 3-6)
Fridays from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Pre-school camp introduces young children to traditional day camp while having the same fun as the big kids, but stay closer to home and keep shorter hours.
Next Friday’s pre-school camp:
Friday, July 2 - Garden fairies. Campers will build their imagination an creativity through the enhanced world of garden fairies. Children will collect and build with natural elementary for their very own take-home fairy garden.
