Lady Pirate netters drop opener

Visiting Bluffton lost 5-0 at Celina in the girls tennis season opener Monday evening.
Lady Pirate Sophomore Brooke Camper dropped a tough three-setter at first singles in a third-set, 10-point tiebreaker 4-6, 7-6, 10-3.
Pirate sophomore Caitlyn Couch also lost a close three-set battle at second singles by an 0-6, 6-2, 7-5 count.
Sophomore Alyssa Hoffman succumbed in a straight-sets match at third singles.
Pirate seniors Ellie Nickel and Libby Frazier lost at first doubles in two sets.
Sophomore Leah Klingler and freshman Genevieve Gatchel fell in straight sets at second doubles.
Bluffton (0-1) hosts Shawnee Tuesday afternoon in the home opener, then visits Kenton Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
