Marilyn Beckler was a member of First United Methodist Church
Marilyn J. Beckler, 89, passed away August 11, 2021 Lima Memorial Health System. Marilyn was born March 23, 1932 in Pandora to the late George and Naomi (Crawford) Shoemaker. On July 20, 1958 she married John Beckler who preceded her in death on March 14, 2014.
Marilyn graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School. She had worked as a teller at the First National Bank in Findlay and Pandora and later retired from the Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora where she was a cook. Marilyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Bluffton who enjoyed visiting with her friends and most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Dukes of Mt. Cory, Karen (Kevin) Casemier of Bluffton; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Yeater, Kayla (Brad) Rieman, Devin Casemier, Alyssa Casemier, Sean Casemier; and five great-grandchildren, Deakon Yeater, Hazel Yeater, Thomas Yeater, Kylie Rieman and Lane Rieman.
Marilyn was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Beckler; son-in-law, Tom Dukes; two brothers, Richard Wayne Shoemaker, Ralph Shoemaker and two sisters, Ruth Williams and Esther Luginbuhl.
Per Marilyn's wishes, a private service and visitation will be held at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.
Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Home Care & Hospice.
