Bluffton girls net team wins 2nd straight

The host Bluffton girls tennis team edged Defiance 3-2 Tuesday evening to even their season record.
The Lady Pirate netters improved to 2-2 with their second consecutive victory over a WBL foe.
Bluffton sophomore Brooke Camper defeated Defiance senior Renee Miller 6-2, 6-3 at first singles.
Pirate sophomore Caitlyn Couch also won in two sets at second singles over junior Mya Garcia 7-5, 6-0.
Pirate seniors Ellie Nickel and Libby Frazier combined to roll to a 6-0, 6-1 win at first doubles.
Bluffton sophomore Leah Klingler and freshman Genevieve Gatchel lost a tough third-set tiebreaker at second doubles 4-6, 6-1, (10-3 points).
Bluffton hosts Bath Tuesday, August 24 at 4:30 p.m.
