After an All-Ohio, record-breaking basketball career at Cory-Rawson High School, Bill furthered his basketball journey at Bowling Green State University where his sensational basketball career continued.

After graduating from Bowling Green State University, Bill taught at Ada Local Schools in 1986 for one year where he also coached Girls Varsity Basketball. A career change took him and his wife to Texas for 11 years where all their children were born and his coaching continued with basketball and soccer. In 2005 Bill returned to his passion of teaching at Ada Local Schools.

Along with teaching, Bill had a devotion of sharing his love and skills in basketball. Bill coached a variety of teams in both the Ada and Cory-Rawson communities. He found inspiration in the “Little Dribblers” program in Texas and began the “Little Hornet” program at Cory-Rawson Schools. He also created and operated the High Glass Basketball Skills Camp that helped many local athletes. Bill enjoyed mentoring and coaching the athletes of the future.

He loved spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren. He made everyone feel welcome and enjoyed sharing the stories of his full life, which he lived far beyond his physical limitations. Bill also had a fondness for movies, board games, action figures, making yard figures, and milkshakes.

He will be dearly missed by us all. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 at Cory-Rawson High School. A private family Celebration of Life will take place.
