Bluffton girls edged by Knights
Host Bluffton lost a close four-setter to Crestview in a Northwest Conference volleyball match Thursday night, September 23.
The Lady Pirates fell to 9-3 overall and 2-1 in league play with the 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21 defeat.
Crestview improved to 8-4 and 3-1 in NWC play with the victory that ended the Pirate seven-match win streak.
Senior Kylie Stackhouse led Bluffton with 15 kills and five blocks. She also served one ace.
Well-rounded senior Kylie Monday drilled nine kills, mustered 22 digs and served four aces. Monday surpassed 1,000 career digs in the match.
Freshman Ayla Grandey knocked down 13 kills and made one block.
Senior setter Skyler Scoles doled out 29 assists, hustled up 14 digs and came up with two blocks.
Senior Haelynn Bischoff mustered up 11 digs. Olivia Siferd added three blocks.
The Bluffton reserves won, 2-0.
The Pirate girls play in the eight-team Minster tournament Saturday.
