Senior travel opportunities June-September 2022
The Bluffton Senior Citizen Center, 132 N. Main, has organized three travel opportunities for seniors in June, August and September 2022. The trips will be led by the center's director, Tonya Meyer. Here are her descriptions of the highlights and costs.
June 13 -18 Vintage Illinois
This trip will be full of small stops, meeting the locals and seeing interesting informative sights. We will see Lincoln’s Presidential Library and Museum, Route 66 and the Great River Road. Price starts at $1500. $250.00 deposit due at signup. Trip by Country Travel Discoveries.
August 3-6 Mississippi River Cruise
Spend two days on the Twilight Riverboat enjoying the river and onboard entertainment. We will also see the National River Museum and Aquarium, John Deere Harvester Factory and Antique Archeology “Home of the American Pickers.” Cost is $1099.00 based on double occupancy. $100 deposit due at time of signup. Sep 24 – Oct 2 Canadian Rockies by Rail
Journey through the clouds aboard the majestic Rocky Mountaineer in Gold Leaf Service. We will also visit Banff National Park, the Icefields Parkway and cruise Maligne Lake. Cost is $5997.00 based on double occupancy. $250.00 deposit due at signup. A valid passport is required for this trip. Trip by Country Travel Discoveries.
