Linda McCoy was critical care educator for Blanchard Valley Hospital
Linda Kay McCoy, 71, passed away November 25, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Linda was born February 26, 1950 in Sioux Center, Iowa to the late Gerrit and Kathleen (Van Royan) Rozeboom. On June 19, 1971 she married Richard McCoy.
Linda was a graduate of Sioux Center High School in Sioux Center, Iowa and Broadlawns Nursing School. She was a registered nurse at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Bluffton and most recently was the critical care educator for Blanchard Valley Hospital. Linda was a member of the Riley Creek Baptist Church, Bluffton where she had been a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed reading, volunteering at Bluffton Elementary school, traveling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Richard McCoy of Bluffton; two children, Chanda (Dan) Smith of Bluffton, Aric (Keri) McCoy of Columbus Grove; five grandchildren, Celia, Avery and Trevor Smith, Cody and Alec McCoy; four brothers, Stan (Cherilyn) Rozeboom, Ver (Deb) Rozeboom, Arlyn (Beth) Rozeboom, Galen (Chris) Rozeboom all of Sioux Center, Iowa and a sister, Karen (David) Vollmar of Pella, Iowa.
Linda was preceded in death by her sister, Janice VanderStoep.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Riley Creek Baptist Church, Bluffton. Pastor David Lanquist officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services-Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Creek Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
