Disc golf course ready for play
The Bluffton Disc Golf Association has announced that the first ten baskets have been installed for the new disc golf course at the Village Park located on County Line Rd. just south of the I-75 overpass.
With a major donation from Bluffton Hospital, all baskets have been acquired. Approximately half of the hole sponsorships have been sold. With these funds the concrete tee pads, signage and features like benches and bridges will be purchased and installed.
The course is open for play. Hole one begins adjacent to the center parking lot; from there the layout is marked with temporary stakes. A GPS layout is also available using the Udisc app (https://udisc.com/). Players should keep in mind that the park is a multi-use facility where you need to remain aware of others and their vehicles.
To contribute to and follow the development of the course, visit the Bluffton Disc Golf Association Facebook page. The remaining eight baskets and additional elements should be completed in Spring 2022.
