Bluffton Hospital reduces COVID testing requirements and services
At the time of this announcement, Allen County was downgraded from High to Substantial COVID transmission level.
Due to the decline of COVID-19 cases within the community, Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) will be making changes to current COVID-19 testing sites and testing requirements.
BVHS will no longer require COVID-19 testing prior to having a surgery or procedure completed at the Findlay campus, Bluffton campus and the Findlay Surgery Center.
This change goes into effect on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Drive-through testing at Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) and Bluffton Hospital will no longer be offered beginning Monday, February 28, 2022.
BVHS is encouraging patients to contact their primary care provider (PCP) if they are in need of a COVID-19 test.
To receive testing at Physicians Plus Urgent Care, or through a BVHS emergency department, patients must first be evaluated by a provider. A determination will be made if a COVID-19 test is required. State and federal guidelines are in place to keep patients safe.
BVHS continues to remain aligned with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Ohio Department of Health. For additional guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic, BVHS continues to update information that can be found at www.bvhealthsystem.org under the COVID-19 tab.
