Michael L. George was a truck driver
Michael L. George, 65, passed away July 20, 2023 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Michael was born April 7, 1958 on an Air Force base in Germany to Ronald and Phyllis (Williams) George. On April 9, 1983 he married Prudence Schumacher George who survives.
Mike graduated from Pandora-Gilboa High School and was a long distance truck driver for various companies and currently with Walmart. He attended Pandora Missionary Church and was an avid hunter who was extremely proud of the two bear that he harvested. Mike also enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He also loved working with horses and having an active part as a 4-H advisor.
Survivors include his mother, Phyllis George of Bluffton; his wife, Prudence George of Leipsic; two children, Joy (Brandon) Huston of Columbus Grove, Tomas George of Leipsic; two grandsons, Landen and Blake Huston; a brother, Brian (Dale) George of Howell, Michigan and a sister, Rhonda (Steve) Bellman of Bluffton.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ronald George.
Mike's services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Pandora Missionary Church with Pastor Matt Steiner officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora following the service. Visitation will be Monday, July 24, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora Missionary Church.
