JAMPD programs: Stream stroll just for kids, '60s Survivors Band, Intro to Archery
Check out three programs presented in early August by Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District:
JUST FOR KIDS: STREAM STROLL
Ottawa Metro Park-Amphitheatre, 2632 Ada Rd. Lima
1:00 – 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 4 and Saturday, August 5
Kids, ages 5-12, are invited to explore life in a creek. We will be searching the creek for clues of who lives there by using dip nets and hand lenses. Be prepared to get wet and muddy. Wear old clothing and water shoes, rubber boots or old gym shoes. Register by August 2 by calling 419-221-1232, or online at www.jampd.com.
2023 SUMMER AMPHITHEATER PROGRAM SERIES
Ottawa Metro Park-Amphitheatre, 2632 Ada Rd. Lima
'60s SURVIVORS BAND
7:00 p.m. - Saturday, August 5
The boys from the '60s are back and ready to rock and roll with the Golden Oldies. Re-learning songs that they played 50 years ago has been quite challenging, but these guys are still rockin’. Join us for a rocking and rolling good time!
BEGINNING ARCHERY PROGRAM
Allen County Farm Park, 1582 Slabtown Rd., Lima
Wednesday, August 9, 6:00–7:00 p.m. or 7:00–8:00 p.m.
Certified archery staff will assist beginning archers on the fundamentals of archery. Mathews Genesis bows and all other supplies will be provided by the Park District. Archery supplies are co-sponsored by the ODNR Division of Wildlife in cooperation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Wildlife Restoration Program. Participants in the program must use bows provided. Wear closed toed shoes, remove earrings, and tie back long hair. Register by July 10 by calling 419-221-1232 or online at www.jampd.com/
