Sally J. Fruchey was a '58 graduate of Beaverdam HS
Sally J. Fruchey, 82, passed away August 23, 2023, at the Meadows of Ottawa.
Sally was born September 30, 1940 in Bluffton, to Loren "Bill" and Margaret "Peg" (McGuire) Bassitt who preceded her in death. On June 19, 1960, she married Roger Fruchey who survives.
She was a 1958 graduate of Beaverdam High School and was a member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church. She loved to read and enjoyed traveling to NASCAR races.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Fruchey of Columbus Grove; three children, Tami (Raye) Zerante of Cairo, Tracy (David Yruegas) Fruchey of Whitehall, OH, and Todd (Beth) Fruchey of Columbus Grove; five grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Jett of Georgetown, KY, Heath Zerante of Arlington, TX, Kelsey (Jason) Moorman of Troy, OH, Aubrey Fruchey of Columbus Grove, and Dylan Fruchey of Columbus Grove; two great-grandchildren, Logan Jett and Madilyn Moorman; and a brother Bill (Nancy) Bassitt of Indian Lake.
She was preceded in death by four siblings, Sandra Garmatter, Tom Bassitt, Sue Henline, and Rick Bassitt.
A burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Beaverdam at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Meadows of Ottawa.
