Crews are busy at the Schumacher Homestead, 8350 Bixel Rd., pouring concrete, moving stone and preparing the beams of a timber frame barn to be repurposed as the Swiss Community Historical Society's new Heritage Center. Progress can be viewed Saturday, September 23, when the homestead is one of several locations participating in the 2023 Bluffton Fall Festival.
