The other Buckeye Lake in Ohio
By Paula Pyzik Scott
This week a caller tried to persuade me that the May 5 Trout Derby in Bluffton, Ohio does not take place at Buckeye Lake.
There is a somewhat better known Buckeye Lake in Licking County, where there is a village called Buckeye Lake, a reservoir called Buckeye Lake and Buckeye Lake State Park.
I directed the caller to a popular authority, Google. Yes! It shows Bluffton's Buckeye Lake. You'll also find our petite version on www.ohiogamefishing.com , www.eBird.com , www.Mapquest.com , www.naturalatlas.com , www.fishbrain.com , etc.

Now I just need to persuade Wikipedia. That source notes that the Bluffton, Ohio "has a total area of 3.62 square miles (9.38 km2), of which 3.55 square miles (9.19 km2) is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 km2) is water." However, Riley Creek is the only water feature listed.
