Wilbur L. Bracy served in the U.S. Army
Wilbur L. Bracy, 90, passed away May 4, 2024 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
Wilbur was born January 31, 1934 in Bluffton to the late Homer and Gladys (Kimmel) Bracy. On September 30, 1956 he married Frances Risner Bracy who preceded him in death on July 26, 2010.
Wilbur graduated from Bluffton High School. He was an electrician for Ex-Cello/Pure-Pak in Bluffton. Wilbur was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton and also of the Bluffton Sportsmen's Club and the American Legion Post #382. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and took great pride in being a resident of Bluffton. Wilbur enjoyed fishing, walking, playing euchre and was an avid Ohio sports fan.
Survivors include two children, Jennifer Bracy of Bluffton, Stephen (Robin) Bracy of Bay Village, Ohio and a sister, Sara McCune of Bluffton.
Wilbur was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Bracy and John Bracy.
Wilbur's services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton with Pastor Jeremy Mann officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton following the service. Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
