Bluffton voters approve new income tax to fund safety services
Precinct B voters okay Sunday liquor sales request

Unofficial results have been posted by the Allen County Board of Elections for Village of Bluffton and Bluffton Precinct B ballot issues on the November 5, 2024 ballot. The proposed municipal income tax for funding Safety Services passed. A local option for Sunday liquor sales (D-6 permit) at 1861 Wine Lounge in Precinct B also passed.
Proposed Municipal Income Tax - Village of Bluffton
- For the Income Tax - 1,382 (72.66%)
- Against the Income Tax - 520 (27.34%)
Local Option - Bluffton B
- Yes - 459 (76.88%)
- No - 138 (23.12%)
The ballot issues were presented as follows:
Proposed Municipal Income Tax Village of Bluffton
A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage Shall the Ordinance providing for a 0.4 per cent levy increase on income for raising revenue for the capital needs and operations of the Safety Services Departments of the Village of Bluffton, Ohio which includes the Bluffton EMS, Bluffton Fire, and Bluffton Police Departments be passed?
Precinct B Local Liquor Option
Local Liquor Option for Particular Use at Business Location (By Petition) Bluffton B
A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage Shall the sale of beer, wine and mixed beverages and spirituous liquor be permitted for sale on Sunday by 1861 Wine Lounge LLC, an applicant for a D-6 liquor permit, who is engaged in the business of restaurant at 115 N. Main St. Bluffton, OH 45817, in this precinct?
