English Lutheran participating in "Buck-A-Chick" program during Lent
English Lutheran Church, along with other Lutheran congregations from across the nation, is participating in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) World Hunger Good Gifts 'Buck-a-Chick' program this Lent, according to Kevin Mohr, pastor.
"Instead of purchasing commercial greeting cards, for a one dollar donation, you can receive and decorate a greeting card, created by Connie Maroscher of English Lutheran," he said.
The full purchase price of each card goes to providing families living in poverty with chicks as a source of food and income. 'Happy Easter,' 'Birthday,' 'Anniversary,' and 'Get Well' cards are available at the church, located at 111 Grove St.,
Fore more information about this program, call the church office, 419-358-2591, or go online at www.elca.org/goodgifts.
