Karen J. Eastman 1951-2009
Karen J. Eastman of Pandora, Ohio, died at 3:35 p.m., Dec. 7, 2009, at her residence.
She was born in Sidney, Ohio, on May 22, 1951, to Avery and Roxie (Martin) Poole. Her father survives.
She retired from Lima Ford Engine Plant as a tool maker. She attended Elida High School and graduated from Northwestern Business College. She was a licensed insurance agent.
Survivors are: daughter, Toni (Aaron) Derstine, Delaware, Ohio; son, Brad (Keyli) Stemen, Findlay; Shawnda Eastman, Lewis Center, Ohio; Tina (James) Jordan, California; Katie and Haley Roe at home.
Also surviving is a sister, Pam Bowman, Columbus Grove, Ohio, and a fiance, Jim Kyzer, Pandora, Ohio, and 12 grandchildren, locally including Jennifer (Chris) Balmer of Bluffton.
She was preceeded in death by her mother, Roxie Poole, brother-in-law, Jerry Bowman and great-grandson Mikel Pitson.
Private services are planned. Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton, are handling the arrangements.
Burial is in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Contributions may go to Karen's children, Katie and Haley.
