Bluffton cruise night is Friday - 44th annual Festival of Wheel launches sesquicentennial activities
Lots of chrome, tail lights with large fins, white sidewalls and toss in some Model T Fords. It's coming Friday, June 24. It's Bluffton Lions Club's 44th annual Bluffton Festival of Wheels Cruise-in.
All activities are held on Main Street and College Avenue, downtown
.Here's the schedule:
oRegistration is from 2 to 5 p.m. downtown
oMain Street is open for cruise-in parking starting at 2 p.m.
oJeff Houston will present '50s music from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
oCar judging begins at 5 p.m.
oTrophies are awarded at 7 p.m.
oCruise through town begins at 8 p.m.
The event is part of Amerifest, which takes place on the Bluffton University football field, and launches the week-long Bluffton sesquicentennial celebration, planned from June 24 through July 2.
The Bluffton Lions Foundation 2011 charity Corvette raffle will be on-going during the event. This year's raffled vehicle is a 1995 Corvette with only 22,760 miles. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. The drawing will take place Sept. 24.
