This winter's soup and sandwich supper is from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St.
The event is hosted by the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio Service group. The supper is avialable for eating in or take out.

Eleveb scouts from Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256 and one scout from Pandora Troop 266 competed in the 52nd annual Klondike Derby at Camp Lakota in Defiance.

Film, food and entertainment are planned for Global Weekend at Bluffton University on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10 and 11.
The weekend will begin Friday with a 7:30 p.m. screening of the 2010 South African film "Life, Above All" in Centennial Hall's Stutzman Lecture Hall.
The Commons in Marbeck Center will host Saturday's events. An ethnic meal will be served from 5-6 p.m. and an international variety and fashion show will follow at 6:30 p.m. A pi~nata will be available for children before the show, at 6:20 p.m.
Children ages 8-14 with interests in singing, acting and dancing are invited to audition for Bluffton University's 2012 May Day musical, "The Music Man." Auditions will be held from 6:15-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, in the Gilliom Room of Bluffton's Mosiman Hall.
Children are sought for the chorus and "boys' band," as well as for the roles of Winthrop (age 9 and speaks with a lisp) and Amaryllis (age 8). Boys auditioning to play Winthrop, and girls to play Amaryllis, may want to familiarize themselves with the songs "Gary, Indiana" and "Goodnight, My Someone," respectively.
Bluffton University senior wideouts Todd Trotter (Cincinnati/Aiken University) and Jason A. Johnson (Lansing, Mich./Lansing Eastern) have been selected to play in the Ohio Army National Guard Senior Bowl III on April 14, 2012 in Columbus' Crew Stadium.
They will join Justin Crosier (Columbus/Hamilton Township) as the first Beavers to play in the annual all-star contest sponsored by the Ohio Army National Guard and Ohio CollegeFootball.com. Kick-off is slated for 1:30 p.m.
Lydia Guagenti, who has just committed to the Ohio State University, had a big day on Sunday at the University of Findlay's high school Oiler Invite track meet.
She cleared 5-07.00 in the high jump to take first with her best indoor jump ever. She beat the second place finisher by 3 inches. This height places her in the top 15 in the country so far in 2012 (according to milesplit.com) and was just short of her outdoor PR of 5-08.00. The height also earned her the rank of Mile Split US First Team Elite.
