A meeting of the Village of Bluffton's Fire and Rescue Committee has been scheduled for Monday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m.on the third floor of the Bluffton town hall prior to the regularly scheduled Bluffton council meeting.

The Bluffton Girl Scouts are looking for all Girl Scout Alumni to join us for light refreshments, fun and sisterhood. We invite you to come and share a song or story from your years as a Girl Scout.

Bluffton students were recently if they have ever been disappointed in how a favorite book series ended, or if they can't wait until the next installment is published.
Tied to those questions, Bluffton Public Library created its first-ever teen fiction contest, according to Rikki Unterbrink.
Students were asked to submit an original short story 2,000 words or less with popular, "borrowed" characters for a chance to win fantastic books and prizes including a copy of "Inheritance" by Christopher Paolini.
Mennonite Home Health and Senior Services, Bluffton, has unveiled the perfect holiday gift for senior family members.
"This season we offer gift certificates for assistance with housekeeping, running errands, personal care, companionship, pet care, or help with Christmas shopping and present wrapping," said Kathy Rody, director of Mennonoite Home Health & Senior Services.
"Our home care assistants can provide a wide range of help to get you or your loved one through this busy holiday season," she said.

John Calvelage of The Dough Hook looks at one of the many cans of food donated to the store. During the week anyone who donated a canned food item received a free cookie. Sharon and John said that the community was very generous this year.
Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that "The Muppets" (PG) is showing at the theatre from November 23 - December 1.

Each evening at 7 and 9:30 PM with Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 1:30 and 4 PM. The theatre will be open Thanksgiving evening for normal showtimes, but will not have matinees on Thanksgiving afternoon.

Of course, there is a deadline. That is 4 p.m., Saturday. Tha't when the line-up starts, this year along Snider Road (not The Centre parking lot). The parade starts at 5 p.m. Junior Weihrauch of Arlington, parade director and expert parade coordinator, says this could be the longest Blaze parade on record.
