Fortman Insurance Services team

A Bluffton Main Street business is one month old on Aug. 1. Fortman Insurance Services, Inc., of Ottawa, opened a branch office at 115 N. Main St., Bluffton, in the former Book Reviews store front on July 1.

Catherine Fortman of the company told The Icon that due to the expanding number of clients outside Putnam County, the need to expand to a second location made sense. Instead of expanding in Ottawa, the company chose to open a branch in downtown Bluffton.

Four members of the Bluffton Senior Citizens Association will receive a life membership in August. Each of the four will turn 90 this month. Those members are James Oberly, Evelyn Lugibihl, Gretchen Lehman and Dorothy Hoffman.

Bluffton Senior Citizens Center's August dinner meeting is at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 8. The meal is $6.50 and tickets must be reserved by Wednesday, Aug. 3. Schnipke's Inn, Ottawa, will cater the dinner.

The featured entertainment is Jill Bland, singer. Clarence Kooker is the MC and Marilyn Wymer and friends are hostesses.
