The Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series will feature Bryan Moyer-Suderman performing at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 17, in the town hall.

The performance is free and open to the public with donations accepted.

Moyer-Suderman started his music career as a college student in a Latin American Folk Band, and since then he has traveled many roads as a musician, touring across North America and performing around the world.

Julie Bankert recently established J. Bankert Bookkeeping, LLC, in Bluffton. As a new affiliate of Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs, her office is at 505 E. Jefferson St.

Bankert, a native of Bluffton, holds an associate of applied business degree, is a certified public bookkeeper, certified QuickBooks advisor and holds a bookkeeping financial services certificate.

Bluffton Boy Scout memorabilia is on display this month at the Bluffton Public Library. In view is Tom Brauen's various badges. He was a Boy Scout in the 1950s. For a story by Dr. Darrell Groman on scouting in Bluffton click here.

Become a runner at BFR! A new program is offered for people interested in training to complete a 5K. BFR's Walk to Run program includes 12 weeks of preparation for the 3.1 (5K) mile goal.

Groups meet at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays for warm-up, walking/running intervals, stretching, and lots of group support.

Beth Boehr, owner of BB Investments and Beyond Budgeting, recently returned from the 2010 Long Term Care Insurance Worksite and Combo Products Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

Headlining the conference were author and training expert, Phyllis Shelton, along with marketing visionary and speaker, Van Mueller.The three-day event was designed to prepare insurance professionals for the ever-changing shifts in the long-term care insurance (LTCI) market.

Travis Unterbrink sounded "Taps" and "Amazing Grace" earlier this spring at The National World War II Museum in New Orleans in honor of those killed during the war. Unterbrink is a 1996 Bluffton High School and 2008 Bluffton University graduate. The flag in the photo is two stories tall.

Yes, I can attest that the Niagara River continues to rush toward the Atlantic, via Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway. But what a spectacular picture the river presents as it pours over the precipice at Niagara Falls! If you've never been there, the trip should be on your "to do" list - not because it's just another tourist attraction (which it can be if that's all you want), but because there's not another sight, or sound, to match it.
