Bluffton High School girls' soccer season launched with a home meet on Aug. 25 against Ottawa-Glandorf and the visitors left with a 5-0 win.

A handball in the box gave Ottawa-Glandorf a penalty kick, and they were able to get it past goalie Jadyn Barhorst. One more goal made it 0-2 at the half. Barhorst returned for the second half, and stopped several more attempts by OG, but the final score was 0-5.
The junior varsity game was brutally hot day, with termperatures in the mid 80's at the start of the game.
Bluffton was down 0-3 in the first 18 minutes of the game, but goalie Hannah Yost was able to stop several attempts by O-G, and the score was 0-4 at the half.
Minutes in to the second half, O-G scored again with Anna Neufeld-Weaver in the goal. She was able to stave off several more plays by O-G, but the final score was 0-10.
