Bob Painter retirement party on Dec. 27
Bob Painter, who for the past 15 years has served as assistant director of the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, is retiring, according to Tonya Meyer, director.
The Center will recognize Painter for his years at the center with a retirement party from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27. The party, open to the public, takes place at the Senior Center, 132 N. Main St.
Painter and his wife, Bev, have lead many trips over the years, both day trips and week long trips. He has also assisted in fundraisers, helped members with insurance and paperwork and helped with the daily running of the Senior Center.
“I hired Bob to help with trips but his knowledge of insurance was a big bonus,” says former director, Rosemary Meyer.
