Letter: Here's what the Bluffton Food Pantry needs
Bluffton Food Pantry volunteer Nancy Yeager get questions. What does the pantry need? Here's her answer for November 2023.
The supplies for the Food Pantry have been excellent throughout the summer, but now some help is needed. The holidays are already bringing in supplies, which is so uplifting. Questions have been asked about what would be helpful to supply the shelves, so here are suggestions.
Personal items:
- Soft soaps
- Lotions
- Deodorants (men's and women's)
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Toilet paper, paper towels, napkins
Food:
- Hamburger helper
- Tuna helper
- Canned meats and tuna
(Continues.)
- Breakfast cereals
- Canned peaches
- Canned mandarin oranges
- Chunky Soups
- Pastas (Elbows, Rotini, Penne, etc.)
- Spaghetti noodles
- Spaghetti sauce
- Baked beans
- Chef Boyardee products (SpaghettiOs, etc.)
- Peanut butter
- Beef Ramon noodles
- Cookie, cake and brownie mixes
- Canned diced tomatoes, canned potatoes, canned carrots
- Dry Cat Food
NOT NEEDED: Canned green beans, canned corn, canned mixed vegetables, Canned Mixed Fruit, Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup, Campbell's Tomato Soup (The shelves are full of these items.)
PLEASE - no GLASS jars. The cement floor and glass jars do not work together well. Thank you so much.
Thanks for supporting our neighbors in need. Best wishes.
EDITOR'S NOTE: There is not a specific drop off time. Groups and individuals can arrange times. Call Ed Yeager 419-302-7715 or Nancy Yeager 419-302-7720 to arrange a time to drop off donated items at the food pantry at St John’s UCC.
